Michael Johnson talks in Prague

Michael Johnson was the surprise Special Guest Speaker for AWD Chase De Vere at their Wealth Management event in Prague last week. At the event Michael spoke on achieving ''Ultimate Performance'' within all aspects of life. He also met with the top sales achievers of the company who had demonstrated outstanding sales achievements over the year. The event was deemed a huge success by all who attended.

Sally Gunnell checks out Sport Relief projects in South Africa

Sally has a real passion for Sport Relief and the work it does to support those who are suffering in some of the world’s most deprived communities. “It’s great to be able to help others through sport and I’ve enjoyed being involved with Sport Relief over the years,” said Sally. “When the opportunity came up to go to the front line and see how the hard-earned money was being spent, I jumped at the chance.” Sally travelled to two South African townships with Ray Stubbs and Colin Jackson to view, Sport Relief sponsored HIV projects; one in the outskirts of Johannesburg, the other close to Durban. “I don’t think anything could have prepared me for what I saw. The scale of the problem is almost beyond belief; one of the places we visited has an infection rate of well over 90% - basically, everybody has got the virus. I met some very, very brave people, who are fighting something they hardly understand. Sport Relief resources are giving them a small glimmer of hope as they try to educate the next generation about how HIV is transmitted; it’s just tragic to see so many people for whom this knowledge has come too late.” Sally met one 13 year old girl who died shortly after her visit. “It’s heartbreaking to see; I can’t really put it in to words. I’ve only witnessed one tragedy out of the countless number which happen every day…I have no idea how the people here keep going, but if they can get up in the morning, then I can try to help them and encourage others to do the same”.
